Product Information – Visionup Strobe Glasses

Visionup Strobe Glasses are the special glasses developed for Sports Vision Training.

Strobe glasses are equipped with LCD lenses, controlled by CPU, that regulates visual information by intermittent shutter effect produced by LCD on and off flickering, i.e., transparent/opaque repeating. (No light or flash is used.) Frequency is changeable between 1Hz to 150Hz with 10 levels.

Visionup is developed specially for sports vision training purpose. It is very light (only 30g including a rechargeable battery) thanks to the very rare LCD produced with polycarbonate and the nylon frame.

One set contains of a pair of main glasses, AC Adopter, Head Band, Lens Cleaning Cloth, Pouch, Hard Case, Instruction Manual, and Warrantee Sheet for one year.

Outstanding Effects by Visionup Strobe Glasses

Suppose, you carry out any training while you close your eyes without any visual information. Visionup provides you the situation with less visual information just like only 50%.

There are basically three kinds of training available according to the range of frequency.

1. 1Hz – 10Hz is used for visual concentration training.

With rather low frequency, each visible time is longer but also each closing time is longer. It improves your visual concentration by keeping doing simple training perfectly.

2. 10Hz – 50Hz is used for visual enhancing training.

The lower the frequency, the more difficult the task due to less visual input caused by blocking of the shutter effect. It enhances and improve your visual skills.

3. 50Hz – 150Hz is used for visual anticipation training.

When both speed of moving object and flash light flickering synchronize, you see the orbit of moving object clearly and it improves your anticipation.

Normally you are aware of improvement by the first use and obtain a persistent effect by the training, for 1 to 3 month, each 10 to 15 min., every other day (not necessary every day), during your warm-up or basic practice.

Basic Technology

Visionup Strobe Glasses are equipped with high speed LCD (liquid crystal display) controlled by CPU (Central Processing Unit).

Turning on Visionup, you can not see when LCD is on, i.e., a lens is opaque but you can see when LCD is off, i.e., a lens is transparent. The blinking time is shown as Frequency or Hz, 1Hz to 150Hz, adjustable by 10 levels, such as, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 80, 100, and 150Hz.

In addition to that, opaque ratio is also shown as Duty Ratio (D) which can be selected among 30%, 50%, and 70%. Therefore, you can get any setting as you want according to your purpose or circumstances.

Frequency Adjustment

Visionup’s LCD lenses repeat transparent (open) and opaque (closed) continuously. To change this speed is the frequency adjustment. The frequency is adjustable 1Hz to 150Hz.

It is more effective to adjust the frequency higher in order to see a ball’s rotation or orbit.
It is more effective to adjust the frequency lower to carry sports vision enhancement training.

With higher frequency

More suitable to see a ball’s rotation or orbit.

With lower frequency

More suitable to carry sport vision enhancement training.

Duty Ratio Adjustment

Duty Ratio means the percentage of opaque (not visible) time in each blinking cycle.

To change this percentage is the duty ratio adjustment.

The Duty Ratio is adjustable among 30%, 50%, and 70%.

Duty Ratio shall be adjusted according to your training purpose or level.
In addition, it shall be adjusted depending on the brightness.>

It is more effective to adjust the duty ratio higher to see high speed object and lower to see low speed object.

With higher duty ratio

More suitable to see high speed Object but the vision becomes darker.

With lower duty ratio

More suitable to see lower speed object to check the stream of that with tails..
